43 year tenure with the San Jose Symphony and Symphony Silicon Valley as well as performances with the San Francisco Opera and Ballet Orchestras. He also served as principal trombone and orchestra contractor for national touring productions of Broadway San Jose.
John was also Director of Bands at De Anza College until relocating to Oregon. Symphonic winds, chamber music, jazz combos and jazz ensemble were among the classes he taught at the college for over 20 years. John also just completed a 30 year collaboration with the San Jose Unified School District as an artist in residence at San Jose and Lincoln High Schools. He is now volunteering with the band program at North Albany Middle School.
Julie, a retired middle school music educator, continues to actively support and mentor music students. She is a member of the WVCB percussion section and has done a lot to recruit and encourage skilled high school musicians to play in the band with her. Her role as school district liaison and service on the band board is invaluable.
